‘Qatar Economic Forum, Powered by Bloomberg’ Announces Co-Chairs and New Members of Global Advisory Council

Doha, New York – 17 September 2026 – The Qatar Economic Forum, Powered by Bloomberg (QEF), in collaboration with Qatar’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI), today announced the appointment of H.E. Hassan Al Thawadi, Managing Director of the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, and Kevin Sheekey, Global Head of External Relations, Bloomberg L.P., as Co-Chairs of its Global Advisory Council.

They will lead the following distinguished group of global business and policy leaders serving on the Council for 2026-2027.

H.E. Al Thawadi brings extensive experience in global convening and investment. He led Qatar’s journey from its successful bid through to the delivery of the FIFA World Cup 2022, the first held in the Middle East and Arab world, and is a member of the board of Qatar Investment Authority.

The announcement comes as the Forum expands its global convening platform beyond its flagship gathering in Doha.
